Dear Avie,
I would sit in the tub while you were still in my womb. I’d sing to you while I rubbed my belly, easing my body’s achiness.
I’ll just close my eyes for a minute as I go back to my memories of you playing in the bath tub.
You love to take baths. We would gather up all of your bath toys and I would fill the bath with water. Without you having to ask I would add in the bubbles. You would play in the tub for a bit, and shortly after I would start the shower so I could get myself washed up.You didn’t mind the water from the shower trickling down from your head onto your face. I tried hard to keep the soap from seeping into your sweet blue eyes.
You never wanted to get out of the tub, you love to play in the water. You would lay on your belly and act as though you were swimming, sometimes making it difficult to get you out of the tub.
I have your blanket next to me now, the smell of you is still lingering.
I don’t think I’ll ever be able to wash it.
Xoxo- Mommy
