Breakfast Table

Dear Avie,

You woke up every morning with a smile.

After we were done having our morning cuddles you would start to inch yourself over to the other side of the bed where you could slide off, touching your feet onto the floor. You would either grab your walker or you would just crawl your way out to the living room.

While heading down the hallway to the living room you would call out for your dog Bubba to come join us.

We would sit down at your little pink table.

You’re sitting here next to me, holding my hand as you sit here eating with me.

We would have pan cake parties just you and me.

I would get a cup of coffee, and you would ask if you could have some coffee too. I would get you your own little “cup of coffee” filling it with water. You would have the biggest smile on your face because you thought that you had a cup of coffee just like mommy.

You brightened up my mornings, you brightened up all of my days.
