Dear Avie,
The days are passing quickly in front of me. I’m slowly making my way through each day, but time is flying past me as I am trying to keep up.
In my head I keep replaying each memory of you. I don’t want to lose any of these memories of you.
Sometimes my mind trails off to the days that we had spent in the hospital beside your bed. The pain keeps coming back in flashes. Feeling as though all of this was a dream.
I am still your mom, but without you here with me I feel completely empty, deprived of your sweet touch. The emptiness that I feel inside is overwhelming and I don’t want to have to swallow a pill to ease the pain.
Our life is completely shattered and now we have to pick up the pieces, the pieces of our family the pieces of me. Without all of those pieces how will this puzzle of our life be put back together again? You are such a big piece of me, and now I no longer have you at my arms reach. Will I ever feel whole again?
Please help me ease this pain that keeps brewing inside of me.
I just know that you are looking down on us from heaven.
